For customers paying by tap.
Nothing happened when I tapped. Check NFC is turned on. On most Android phones it is in Settings under Connected devices or Connections; on iPhone from the XS onward it is always on and needs no setup. Hold the top of the phone flat against the tag for a second.
The page says the link has expired. That is by design: a tap is good for a few minutes and can only be used once. Tap the tag again. If you had already approved a payment, check your mobile money messages before paying again — the page cannot tell whether a completed payment consumed the link.
No approval prompt arrived. Some networks hold the request in a menu instead of pushing it to the screen. Dial your mobile money menu and look for a pending approval. If the timer runs out, nothing is charged.
Nobody will ever ask for your PIN on a web page. Enter your mobile money PIN only in the prompt your own network shows you. Tap2MoMo’s pages say this on the screen where the PIN is entered, and it is true everywhere else too.
